HBO is all about stories. Be it fact or fiction, they are about telling stories, creating memorable characters and drawing audiences into the narration.
Audiences get to escape from reality through these stories and reach a dreamscape where anything is possible.
We want to use smoke to represent this dreamscape, a place where imagination can run wild. Instead of taking on a specific shape or form, we rather keep the smoke in an indefinite state so that its movements are more unpredictable and fun.
